Tsinaabaas Ha’bitiin Elementary School
The overall project improvements are comprehensive and include water storage with fire suppression capacity, environmentally friendly underground wastewater treatment system. The site development consisted of 30% the construction budget. A building design priority was to create a culturally appropriate and environmentally sensitive facility.
Elements included an east facing entrance, hogan shaped building elements, traditional exterior Navajo imagery, wind resistant masonry construction and entry vestibules on the prevailing winds west side of the building.
