St. Eugene Catholic Church

,

The Parish of St. Eugene was pursuing the expansion of their worship center and campus while trying to keep most of the open areas for future expansion available. The new program required a variety of integrated functions: gathering spaces, vesting sacristy, acolyte vesting, ushers, public restrooms, nursery as well as main chapel, baptistery, side chapels/devotional, columbarium, cry room. The proposed solution took full advantage of the main street frontage to enhance the sense of presence.

In tribute to the patron, Pope St. Eugene, a shepherd crook formed the proposed covered walkway and formal entry plaza as a sign of unity to the whole campus.
