In 2013 Mesa Public Schools identified a number of elementary schools where population numbers dictated a curriculum change, turning the schools into Early Learning Centers. Jordan was selected as the first project to be completed.
The design program called for the total renovation of the school’s main entrance to provide strong visual cues and security when approaching and entering the building. Interior renovations included a warmer and more welcoming appearance, with a new reception/waiting area for parents and a brighter, more whimsical color palette to appeal to infants and toddlers. Administrative and nurse offices were relocated to improve efficiency.
