The new Arizona Fresh Development project entails constructing up to 900,000 GSF of mixed-use facilities on a 156-acre site. The project is being proposed in four different phases, all coordinated as required to allow the remediation of the existing landfill. Most of Phase I is occurring on the non-landfill area, but some parts will still require remediation. International Hub LLC, the owner of this project, intends to develop a Wholesale Produce Market, a Community Farmer’s Market, an Agriculture and Food Safety Research Park, and a 20-acre community park as part of Phase I of this development with a total expected+/-350,000 GSF of new construction.
Future phases of the project will include developing additional research facilities, expansion of the Wholesale Farmer’s Market, an outdoor amphitheater, a mixed-use multitenant research park expansion, food court areas, Incubator and Conference Center, and Test Fields for the complete 156-acre development. Phases II, III & IV will occur as different areas to be remediated are completed. More detailed information about the scope, locations, and phases are provided as part of this narrative.
